David Maslar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in 2013, an M.S. in Applied Mathematics and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Missouri in 2009, and a B.S. in Economic Analysis from Binghamton University in 2006. He joined the Finance Department in 2015 after working for two years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Maslar currently teaches an undergraduate course in Financial Management. In the past he has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in fixed income, economics, and financial markets. In 2014 he received two MBA Faculty teaching awards while at the University of Missouri: the John A. Riggs, Jr. Excellence in MBA Teaching Award and the Rising Star MBA Teaching Award.
Dr. Maslar’s research interests include investments, market microstructure, and fixed income. His current research focuses on empirical asset pricing, bond mutual funds, and illiquidity.
